We invite you into our family treasury. After 30 years spent maturing in barrels, we are ready to unveil the crown jewel of our collection — EMPERUS Reserva Antica — a spirit embodying the heart and soul of our heritage, now offered to you.
EMPERUS Reserva Antica is a green-olive blend of four exceptional distillates, crafted in 1992 and 1993 from ancient autochthonous plum varieties — Požegača and Rankovača — which lend it its distinctive aroma.
On the palate, EMPERUS Reserva Antica is full, calm, and harmonious, with pronounced notes of vanilla and dried fruit. Its finish is long, warm, and soft, with a multi-layered and extraordinarily balanced character. Thanks to its prolonged aging in oak barrels, this brandy is best enjoyed at room temperature, primarily as an aperitif.
EMPERUS Reserva Antica is a rare gem, consistently earning championship titles for its outstanding quality at numerous events and exhibitions.
Nevertheless, the most notable recognition was bestowed upon EMPERUS Reserva Antica at the Show of the Best Serbian Plum Spirit held in 2023. In a competitive field of 99 plum spirits, a distinguished nine-member international commission declared EMPERUS Reserva Antica as the highest-rated sample of Serbian plums in history.
EMPERUS Reserva Antica holds a unique certification unmatched by any other Serbian brandy—a Radiocarbon Dating Certificate issued by the Scottish Universities Environmental Research Centre (SUERC), based in Glasgow.
In response to an increasingly unregulated market and frequent misrepresentations both locally and worldwide, SUERC has begun conducting radiocarbon analyses to verify the true age of distillates, primarily focusing on whisky but extending to all premium spirits.
To affirm the authenticity behind the EMPERUS brand, we sent a sample of EMPERUS Reserva Antica for analysis. The results confirmed, with a 99.7% probability, that this brandy was crafted 30 years ago.
