EMPERUS Šumadija Slivovitz embodies our tradition, history, and the spirit of our people—a brandy made from Serbia’s most renowned plum varieties, with an intense vanilla-balsam aroma and a full, rounded, and harmonious flavor, aged in sessile oak barrels from Serbian mountains.

EMPERUS Šumadija Slivovitz is the fulfillment of our mission: to share the story of Serbian brandy worldwide, placing it alongside the world’s most celebrated spirits. Achieving this mission would be impossible without certification that attests to our origins and the source of our heritage.

Produced from plum varieties—Crvena ranka, Čačanska rodna, and Čačanska lepotica—grown exclusively in the Šumadija district, the certification process includes rigorous checks on the locality, the sourcing of raw materials, and control of processing and fermentation.

Following fermentation, the plum mash undergoes a double fractional distillation in copper stills. The distillate then matures for years in EMPERUS barrels, with capacities of 500 to 1,000 liters, crafted from sessile oak sourced from Serbian mountains. Final quality assessments include comprehensive chemical analysis, sensory evaluations, and product certification, ensuring each bottle upholds the essence of Serbian tradition.
